Welcome to Finsbury Park Skip Hire. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our services. By hiring a skip from us, you agree to be bound by these terms, which are designed to protect both you and our company.
1. Definitions
- Company: Refers to Finsbury Park Skip Hire.
- Customer: The individual or entity hiring a skip from the Company.
- Skip: The container provided by the Company for waste disposal.
2. Booking and Reservation
To reserve a skip, customers must provide accurate information regarding the type of waste, duration of hire, and delivery location. All bookings are subject to availability.
2.1 Acceptance of Booking
Once a booking is made, the Company will confirm the reservation via email or phone. If there are any issues with the booking, the Company reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
2.2 Payment Terms
Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed upon. The Company accepts various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and bank transfers. Late payments may incur additional charges.
3. Use of Skip
The customer is responsible for using the skip in a lawful manner.
- Permitted Waste: General household waste, garden waste, and construction debris.
- Prohibited Waste: Hazardous materials, asbestos, tires, batteries, and chemicals.
3.1 Loading the Skip
Customers must load the skip safely, without exceeding its weight or volume capacity. Overloading can lead to additional charges or the need for extra skips.
3.2 Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited:
- Flammable liquids
- Compressed gases
- Biological waste
- Electronics
- Medicines
4. Delivery and Collection
The Company will deliver the skip to the specified location at the agreed-upon time. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery area is accessible.
4.1 Delivery Requirements
Customers must provide a clear path for the skip delivery vehicle. Any obstructions may result in additional delivery charges.
4.2 Collection
After the hire period, the Company will collect the skip. If the skip is not ready for collection at the agreed time, additional storage fees may apply.
5. Fees and Charges
The fees for skip hire are based on the size of the skip, duration of hire, and type of waste. Any additional services or extended hire periods will incur extra charges.
5.1 Payment Schedule
Customers will be invoiced upon booking. Payment is due within 14 days unless other arrangements have been made.
5.2 Additional Costs
Additional costs may include:
- Permit fees for curbside placement
- Overweight charges
- Extra collection fees
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must ensure that:
- The skip is placed in a safe and accessible location.
- Only permitted waste is loaded into the skip.
- The skip is not used as a storage container beyond the hire period.
7. Company Responsibilities
The Company is responsible for:
- Providing a clean and functional skip.
- Delivering and collecting the skip at the agreed times.
- Ensuring the disposal of waste in accordance with environmental regulations.
8. Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel their booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery without incurring a fee. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before delivery may be subject to a cancellation fee.
9. Liability
The Company is not liable for any damage or loss that occurs as a result of the skip placement, provided that the Company has acted with reasonable care. Customers are responsible for any damage caused by misuse of the skip.
10. Insurance
The Company carries public liability insurance. However, customers are advised to check their own insurance policies regarding potential damages.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the services are provided.
12. Amendments
The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes.
13. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter amicably before seeking legal recourse.
14. Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, or disruptions in transportation.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the customer and the Company regarding the skip hire services.
